2025 Hitachi ZX890LC-7 Excavator – Heavy-Duty & Versatile

Hitachi’s ZX890LC-7 is a large-class excavator for heavy construction and quarrying. Its six-cylinder Isuzu 6WG1 engine produces 510 hp net and meets Final Tier 4 emissions with a diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalytic reduction. HIOS V hydraulics use dual 147 gal/min pumps and a pilot pump, with work-mode selection to balance power and efficiency. The 27 ft 7 in boom and choice of 12 ft 2 in or 14 ft 5 in arms provide up to 48 ft of reach and 31 ft 5 in digging depth. Bucket breakout force is roughly 90 000 lbf, and operating weight is about 189 000 lb.
